ATMA Hostel & Yoga

The communal areas are diverse and nice and the room was comfortable and clean. We slept in a double room.

The kitchen is pretty small for so many guests.

We loved our stay at Atma! Our private room was comfortable, clean, spacious and had a cool calm aesthetic. Communal kitchen has everything you need and free coffee and tea throughout the day was a really nice touch. Lots of indoor / outdoor places to sit down and chill. Perfect location, only seconds from the beach and ideal for those coming to Huanchaco to surf (there’s space to hang up wetsuits / boards and loads of recs for good schools nearby). Loved meeting the pet tortoise who made laps of the garden whilst I sunbathed! Highlight for me was the yoga studio, as a yoga teacher who has found it hard to fit in my practice whilst travelling - daily classes are offered with a variety of styles / teachers for a small additional price and the space is free to use for guests in their own time. Recommend this place to anyone who is looking specifically for yoga or just generally a chilled friendly vibe.

This is a clean, safe, cosy hostel where you can fall asleep to the sound of the sea and wake up to have breakfast on the patio with the giant friendly tortoise that runs around the central courtyard. The yoga classes were excellent quality, too. This is the kind of place that people plan to stay 3 days and then actually stay 3 months.

Loved it!

This was by far the nicest hostel I've ever stayed in, the staff were so friendly and helpful with everything. The hostel had a really welcoming and open vibe and the facilities were amazing, loads of really clean bathrooms, lots of nice communal space to hang out in with lots of hammocks! Dondoco the tortoise was a bonus too :) The yoga classes were lovely and the fact that you could borrow beach towels and yoga mats whenever you wanted was also a really nice touch. The kitchen was well stocked and had enough storage for guests to keep some food in the fridge/shelves. Perfect place to base yourself for surfing in Huanchaco, easy walk to the beach and lots of space to store rental boards/wetsuits also with an outdoor shower to rinse off after being in the sea.
