Very clean, I was in a private room and the bathroom was very clean and modern. The bed were comfortable.

The breakfast is not very good

Ostello pulito e accogliente, ottima doccia, letti comodi e staff cordiale! La posizione è centrale, cinque minuti a piedi dalla piazza principale. Forniscono servizio lavanderia in giornata. In generale è molto tranquillo, non molto "sociale".

Terroble smell in the room

We stayed here for a total of 9 nights before and after a tour. The location was great, a slight uphill walk from the main San Blas area but nothing too strenuous. The facilities in the room were good; the TV had Netflix, we had shelves and a desk and the portable heater was sufficient for keeping the room warm at night. The bathroom was clean and seemed to be recently refurbished. One member of staff was lovely, I wish we’d asked her name so that we could give her the credit she deserves here. She worked breakfast on 25th May at ~8am.

When we arrived there was a notice from authorities on the door saying that the hostel had been closed with immediate effect in April. We rang the bell any way and someone let us in but once we checked in it was clear they’d been closed down due to maintenance issues as there were workers everywhere. There were loose wires, ladders over the stairs and tools all over the courtyard. They even asked if they could access our room during our stay to continue working on it. Breakfast was very basic. The staff didn’t keep it topped up so you’d have to ask if they had more bread or milk. Some days they offered you eggs but some days they didn’t and you were lucky if they looked up from their phones. The staff used the communal areas for their own social plans on multiple occasions during our stay; we’d go down to the kitchen to cook dinner and there was a group of people drinking with the receptionist. They were playing loud music and shouting over it so you could hear them from two floors away on the opposite side of the building. They took up the majority of the space in the kitchen with no regard for guests actually paying to use the facilities. On other occasions, the staff scrolled through videos incessantly or joined Microsoft Teams calls and had them playing out loud so it’s all you could hear in the communal areas during the daytime. The water went off one night. When we went downstairs to flag the issue, the receptionist just handed us a bottle of water with no explanation. The kitchen equipment is very old and dirty, even after attempting to clean it. Most of the dishes are dirty as guests wash their own breakfast dishes. The second room we stayed in had significant damp issues. We were supposed to stay here again but cancelled it and found somewhere else. Due to some of the staff, I’d say it has all the cons of a party hostel with no benefits for the guests. It’s a shame as the hostel has so much potential, it would be great if it was managed properly.

Al nostro arrivo era affisso un avviso dell’amministrazione di Cusco che comunicava che la struttura era stata chiusa due settimane prima con effetto immediato. La stanza con bagno privato per il primo giorno e mezzo non ha avuto l’acqua calda ne l’elettricità e non sono stati trasparenti con i tempi per le riparazioni e non ci è stata fornita un’altra stanza. La struttura aveva un costante odore di cucinato e di muffa, inoltre la stanza aveva due finestre che non era possibile chiudere completamente, una di queste in bagno. La temperatura esterna si aggirava intorno ai 3 gradi. La prima sera inoltre è entrato un precedente ospite cui avevano lasciato la chiave nonostante avesse effettuato il checkout il giorno precedente.

Las instalaciones. La habitación muy cómoda, el baño también. La ubicación muy bien.

Nice location, some of the staff were lovely. Dorms and bathrooms were clean

Some staff were a bit grumpy, no wifi in the dorm rooms, breakfast was average and you're paying a decent amount per night. Better options available!
