Ignacio’s Place

You get what you pay for—and in this case, that’s actually not a bad thing. The place is clean, nothing fancy, but it doesn’t pretend to be. If you’re just looking for a decent place to sleep without breaking the bank, this does the job. Staff’s quick to respond if you need something, which is a win.

It was a gem of a hostel in Bacolod, in very quiet residential area, yet near some of the best restaurants like Sandok & Sharyn’s. Staff were really wonderful & accommodating!!! Mr Ignacio was nice as well and welcomed me my 1st day. The room was very spacious and the best & most comfortable bed ever in my 3-wk hosteling, so far!!! Love the thick 100% cotton & pressed, too, beddings & linens!!! Even the curtain was beautiful & lined, as well as pressed!!!! Bathroom was clean, but, need some more scrubbing of shower tiles. Hot water, too!!!! It’s convenient to all public transportation and people were really very nice & helpful especially answering my public transportation queries going to Silay and Pahanocoy or just to the malls!!! Love their white minibuses that are air conditioned!!!! Sooo much better than jeeps. Even Eugene, the night staff, was sooo kind enough to drop me off at the Southbound Ceres Terminal, a 5-minute on the hostel’s private tricycle ride, use for picking up & dropping off guests and even helped me with my luggage!!! Lyn, the morning staff was always very helpful, so with Eugene when I needed something or answering my queries or giving suggestions!!! Thank you, Mg Ignacio, Eugene & Lyn for a wonderful stay!!!

The rooms were a bit dated. WiFi wasn't always working and non existent in some of the rooms It was a bit.too noisy for me on the ground floor but after being moved to the floor above everything was fine.

This is the best and the cleanest places I have stayed in Philippines so far. The owner was so nice and helped me with everything, including transportation. The room was clean and bathroom also. Cosy room with a small picture and clean bedsheets.

The place is a bit far from the city center and the rooms facing the main street are too noisy until late at night and early morning. If you have a light sleep, ask for the rooms facing the garden as I guess they are more quiet.
