Tres Islas Hostel

Room was reasonably clean and comfortable for the price, good location. Staff is friendly and helpful.

No hot water in the bathrooms.

Not what I expected

The location

Basic hostel, dorm was always full probably because it’s such good value given its location. Overall a nice stay with helpful staff.

Clean and comfortable

The staff were super friendly but the best part for us, was the Filipinos who stayed there! They always said hello and invited us to have a drink or food or just to hang out with them.

The room could get damp but it’s a tropical country.

The staff was really lovely. We actually ended up staying with them twice. The rooms we had were always good. Basic furniture and comfy beds. Thank you for having us!

The bathrooms were in a pretty terrible state.

they helped me with my bag to the room. they have motorcycle rentals. that's about it

Offered no additional information at all. The staff looks friendly and it would be better if they are more proactive with info about the hostel. i had to find them several times to ask and probe about the ff: -towel (it's 50Pesos/pax) -locker keys (500 deposit) -scooter rental -common areas -where the bathroom is -breakfast options (the menu was not displayed at the front desk) -checkout time literally checked my ID and had me sign at the front desk, showed me my bed and that was it. I don't expect much from a budget hostel but providing information to guests about the place is basic even for a budget hostel. i'm not even talking about information about the island but simple things about the hostel that they didn't explain. also you have to call them to adjust the AC in the dorm so when they are out by 10pm, no one else can adjust the temp.

Location was good, no party hostel.

The mattress was very thin, something like 6 cm.
