Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience at Mariz Inn, Moalboal. The room was very basic and not as clean or comfortable as expected. The facilities felt poorly maintained, and overall, it didn’t feel like good value for money. I wouldn’t recommend this place to other travelers looking for a relaxing stay.

Location

It is a nice budget hostel. The room was clean and had a nice comfortable bed. The bathroom was equipped with everything that was needed. It is a good hostel when you want to spend your time actively outdoors (diving, snorkeling) and you plan only to sleep there as the room is not too big. The owners are wonderful and very helpful. The location is awesome. Very close to a central crossroad and close to the beach for diving and snorkeling, but also at a good distance so it is quiet in the evening.

Not much to be written here. Maybe the AC was a little noisy. I traveled alone so the double room was good for me, but it would be hard for two people to live in that room as it is rather small. Similarly bed is nice for one person but for two may be too small.

Close to center

No comfortable common hang out space, just a few plastic chairs. No dogs barking but major rooster noise.

Good location with walking distance to shops and restaurants. Nice owner. You have your own shower with hot water.

The room is dark during the day and noisy during the night because next door is a restaurant playing music and sometimes drunk people.
