Nice room and set up. Really clean, like someone has ocd clean 🙂 and smelt great.

+ Very friendly staff + great located near the beach and nice restaurants around + (nearly) everything very clean + community kitchen is very nice and clean + friendly people and a good vibe

The only thing that couldn't keep up with the really high standard was the shower. It was not that clean and the drain was not working fluently... but not a big isue.

Très bien situé, bien organisé, belle décoration, spacieux, peu de chambres. Accueil agréable par le personnel.

L'eau de la douche n'était pas assez chaude. Pas de parking gratuit 24h/7j.

Warm welcome on arrival. The room was perfect for my needs and the use of a shelf in the communal fridge worked well. Machico was a great base for exploring the east of the island - I managed to get by with public transport for the two walks i did (Ponta de São Lourenço, and Vereda do Larano from Porto da Cruz), both of which were enjoyable. There were a reasonable choice of restaurants nearby - i particularly liked Banana Latte for brunch and Duque Sushi Bar.

I initially struggled to find the entrance - perhaps that was just me being stupid.
