I had an issue with this property that was poorly managed. Firstly booking.com search listed this property when I was looking for a place to stay in Madeira Island. I wasn’t ever aware of this island. I arrived in Madeira around 11pm and only there I found out the location. I contact Porto Santo via WhatsApp as I was talking with them earlier, but no one replying. They informed they’d be available 24h but did not answers my calls. I had to book another place to stay in Madeira and thankfully the other host replied to me, and looked after my situation. The next day (Saturday) I contacted Porto Santo again, and asked for a refund as the booking was made not longer than 24h, and I asked for flexibility on this situation. I booked only one day before the trip, I mean my reservation was not blocking the business. The staff said they would check and confirm on Monday only, as the managers were not working (very strange for a travel/ hospitality company). The never replied on Monday, and Tuesday they informed refund was not possible. They made me wait for all those days without considering that this pending situation prevented me to decide if I actually would visit Porto Santo to not miss the booking at least. In the end I had to pay for another stay, and they refuse the refund. I opened a formal complain against booking and a dispute with my card. Very poor customer service from property and booking, I never had any problems with booking in 10 years. This is a great example how to take advantage of people.

ESIt’s a well maintained property, close to the beach, very friendly staff, clean and good vibe. I highly recommend this place and with no doubt I will come back again!

PTO alojamento correspondeu exactamente às expectativas.... com uma excelente relação qualidade/preço. Todos o staff é muito simpático e prestável. Foi mto bom conhecer outras pessoas do hostel de diferentes países e com os seus hábitos próprios. Para um alojamento deste tipo, o pequeno-almoço é mto bom e recomendável... e sempre com alguma "novidade" gastronómica. :D A higiene dos WCs (sendo partilhados, no caso dos dormitórios) tb é bastante boa. :)
