Great experience. Perfect location. Charming place. Clean, nice room. Nice lady at the reception. Kitchen with necessary equipment and beautiful view. Delicious apple pie at Snackar. Beautiful nature around. Great view from the rocks, if you like walking and climbing a bit. 1 hour walk to Uddevalla through the wooden bridge around the rocks.

Amazing view of the sea from our room. Located on the seaside. Has some historic background. There’s a spacious kitchen and dining room that has all the necessary equipment, but has no basic cooking ingredients such as salt, pepper, oil etc. Showers and toilet are located in the main building. They also accept credit cards, unlike some reviews here said.

Rooms are very small and walls are quite thin

The old building (which was part of the charm ) had thin walls where much was heard from other guests so earplugs are a must! :)

It was expensive for what it was. As a single traveller, it was about £66/night for a creaky bunkbed with shared facilities and no breakfast. A room in an Uddevalla hotel, en-suite and with breakfast was a pound or two less, but I chose location and not having to drive to the kayak centre.

View over the water from the room, powerful showers, clean toilets and room. Really friendly reception staff waiting to greet us (and ice creams available to buy in reception!) There is a restaurant opposite which serves fantastic meatballs and lovely ice creams. Kayak hire available nearby (the main reason we chose this place).

The room was absolutely tiny. We stayed in the budget twin room with bunk beds and you could just about step around the edge of the beds in the room (but couldn't pass one another!!) Linen and towels cost additionally which felt like a really expensive addition to an already pricey room (compared to english costs).
