On My Way Dulan

Located near the main street. Cozy living room with a comfortable couch, armchairs, a TV, and numerous stuffed Pokemons.

Although the owner was friendly, the helper seemed distant and requested an extra cleaning fee when my friend temporarily put his stuff on another bed while unpacking. Additionally, the beds were very hard.

Cute hostel next door to the sugar factory, and on a side street from the main road. Must book if you like Pikachu! Friendly staff, and at the time of visiting there were bikes available for the guests.

Facilities are a bit older, but in my opinion this adds to the charm of the place.

I've been to Dulan numerous times, and this place is by far my favorite. It's not a party atmosphere but rather a cozy hostel. It's small and unrefined, giving it more of a visit-your-grandma's-house feel. The host, Bobo, is a friendly guy. We truly enjoyed our stay here. 謝謝Bobo這兩天的招待，期待下次再見！ - Abby

The owner was a very nice guy, very friendly. I have nothing bad to say about him. Also, the stuffed pokemon on the second floor were cute. A nice hangout area upstairs.

The beds are incredibly hard. Maybe the hardest I've ever slept on. It feels like a box spring (plywood on springs). Honestly, I even like relatively stiff mattresses, but these were ridiculous. I stayed in the private room on the first floor (with green walls) but I'm pretty sure all the rooms had these same horrible mattresses. We all had trouble sleeping. Also, my room smelled like cat litter, which was not very nice. I think it's because it has a small bed for dogs to sleep in, but given the smell, it seems like they should either wash or replace the dog bed (I did not bring a dog). There is an AC unit in the room, but the room has a large opening into the hallway, like a window without glass. I assume this is for ventilation, but it means that the room is not sealed so the AC isn't very effective. Furthermore, I would not say the place is cheap. There are much cheaper places in Dulan that are probably more comfortable and cleaner.

The beds are just terrible. Hard as rock and didn't feel clean at all. Whole night itchy. I maybe was able to sleep for one hour in total. The dorm is small with barely any storage space, so I but a few items (headphone/wallet) on a non-used bed and forgot to move them to my own space. Next day I had to pay a cleaning fee because of that. Ridiculous. If I had a perfect night and were nice beds etc, I probably wouldn't complain too much, but after such a terrible night and "no-discussion-possible-cleaning-fee", I was done with the place and left for another hotel. It ruined my mood for the day.
