旅充人文 Travel Charger Hostel

This is a well appointed hostel with all the mod cons a traveller could want - great showers and kitchen facilities. It's thoughtfully decorated and boasts features such as water refill station, plenty of places to chill out, and a guitar/drum box for sing alongs. It's only a 10min walk from the back of the train station and has everything you would need for a great stay in Hualien. Next door is BBQ sandwich shop for breakfast, it has coin laundry beside that and on the other side a pharmacy and Family Mart. Reception was great a helping figure out itineraries and a timetable for visiting Taroko Gorge.

But the only complaint I have is with you dear travellers. When I was here, I was the only occupant for half my stay and this place deserves to have the hum of travellers passing through to match the buzz that it's created.

Super nice staff. Walking distance from the train station. Everything very clean, curtains around the bed. Common area with a small veranda.

There is a small bar in the common area, but it isn’t regularly staffed. There isn’t a good place in the shower to put down your stuff while keeping it from getting wet.

Everything is so well-designed and thought-out, and the owners clearly haven’t skimped on anything. Everything is super high quality and when you need something, you’ll happen to find it immediately. Probably the most beautiful interior design in the 50-odd hostels I’ve stayed at before, too. Cool staff and friends of staff and owner, too.

The hostel has a nice industrial look that conveys luxury. Overall, it feels like it’s well invested in and the facilities are all of good quality

The staff were super polite and kind which was very nice. However, I was later very disappointed that they were completely unhelpful with providing basic tourist information. It really affected my stay for the following day as I did not make proper plans. The staff was there the night before, but was hanging out with friends at the front lobby. The next day, no one was even there well into check out time. Overall, while the property feels luxurious, it also feels like it’s all facilities and no spirit. It’s a place to stay, but not to feel good about your trip.
