Good area

Two lines main bus stop both ways one block away. The closest Metro entrance about 7 blocks -- across street and park straight to wood church. Comparably safe for wartime exposure as surrounded by tall buildings so nearly impossible to be drone attacked. Very secure off wartime, as many embassies in area, relatively wealthy, and police patrolled for both. No important government ministries or important target nearby. On top of hill ridge so generally easy to get bearings for direction.

Leaving Zoloti Vorota - Teatralna metro for closest exit to hostel is a like a rat maze, so very hard to find interior escalators to top of hill, so 5 to 10 extra minutes walk outside in cold winter (or hot summer). Much easier to enter.

Decent place at very cheap price. While it is only half filled (due to the war) so is less occupied than normal,

Booking.com map shows wrong location, only about 40 meters away, but on different road. The emailed description should also mention that it is in a courtyard off of the main avenue, not the side road also with a #10 location (just where shown on the map). The best clue was that is is #6, but that there is an archway, many have archways. I ended up calling them and had some one guide me in, though walking past the real location in the attempt.
