Guest house "Golden Gate 911 "

It’s probably the worst place I’ve stayed in Kyiv. location is right in the city centre next to amazing cafes. But in the apartment works some kind of a pump. It makes terrible and loud noise so I couldn’t sleep. Owners said it is forbidden to turn it off. They didn’t warn about this noise, but should have. Also there was no chair or a table here, they asked me to pay additional money for the room with table. If you tired after long trip this might be not the best place to spend the night. It was clean, though 😅 I stayed there 1 day instead of 5, but they didn’t want to make full refund even though it was impossible to sleep there.

I didn’t like anything except the location

The location indeed 😉, it's just literally 1min from a metro station and 10-20 minutes to the different city sights. The room itself was big enough, extremely clean and cosy. The beds were comfortable with clean bedsheets (no smell of washing powder at all).

First I didn't notice there wasn't a kitchen in the hostel, so be careful NO KITCHEN AT ALL. I would really appreciate just a kettle and some teabags coffee sugar sticks in my room (like in many other hostels)Then by some whimsical desire all the doors to the rooms, including mine, had a glass window, it wasn't transparent but every time someone went along the corridor it was enough light in my room to read a book. Absolutely annoying at night!!! And regardless how much I tried to guess the way to control the TV, it didn't work out. The chat with the hostel was kind of strange, no courtesy at all. Even without a simple "byebye and thank you for your stay".

No aircon , no fridge, the shower wasn’t draining properly, bathroom didn’t have fan.

The room is clean. And the location is good.

In the advertisement it is said the object is a flat. In reality it is just a room. So the picture in the advertisement and the description don't match the reality. Also, Internet is instable.

Very cool location, very clean, self check in.

The hostel does not have many options added to the description: no luggage storage room, no reception, and most importantly - no mosquito nets on the windows. In my opinion, it is very important to sleep at night, and not to chase mosquitoes. Wi-Fi didn't work.
