Green Tortoise Hostel

The location is fantastic ! The place is clean and the living room is spacious. The bathrooms were clean and outside the bedrooms which is good. It's the perfect place to meet people! I spent five nights there and, at various events, billards and breakfast, I met students with whom I had a great time. I'm a 22-year-old woman traveling alone. This hostel isn't the cheapest, but it's definitely the best for meeting people!

The only point to improve is the breakfast : it is good, but not varied. An other kind of bread would be welcome. It’s still a good breakfast with fruits, yoghurts and bagels

Outside area was kinda sketchy

It had a great location and really nice vibes. The place has many bathrooms you can use by yourself, which is always a bonus for me. Breakfast included was also a bonus. It wasn't that clean, and the privacy was not ideal, but overall it was worth it!

Code on door took 4 times of input before it would open EVERY time, wish it were slightly more economic for hostel prices ($10/night less)

Fine budget hostel, the beds are old but good enough. In the morning there are free bagels and oats!

I stayed there during the weekend and next door is a club that’s open until 3am. I could even feel the bas of the music in the room so hard to sleep before 3am, but I think it’s fine during the week.

Super hostel très bien situé, à proximité des principales attractions touristiques et très bien desservi par les bus publics. Le personnel est adorable et le rapport qualité-prix est imbattable. La salle commune est super chouette et le petit-déjeuner est très bien. Les salles-de-bain "communes" sont tellement nombreuses qu'au final vous pouvez toujours en avoir une pour vous tout seul. Les locaux sont un peu viellots mais les lits sont confortables. Je n'ai pas eu le temps de profiter du sauna, mais c'est un vrai plus. J'ai adoré mon séjour au Green Tortoise Hostel et je le recommande sans aucune hésitation.

L'aspect un peu viellot du bâtiment et les escaliers un peu ardus avec des bagages. Mais les côtés positifs compensent largement et mon avaliation globale pour mon expérience est excellente!

Location can’t be beat. Love the North Beach neighborhood and proximity to Little Italy and Chinatown. What a great place for walking, shopping, and restaurants.

There was no downside to staying at the green tortoise.
