This is a house with rooms - with the pros and cons that gives. I think in non-high season this is probably a good value stay, but it felt over-priced for what I paid, but as it was almost the last room available anywhere for around this price point - I guess thats supply/ demand. Pros Garden: - lovely sizeable relaxing garden to hang out in Location: - on street behind main street - 2mins walk to restaurants, cafes, bakeries, shops - 10mins walk to several beaches - 10mins walk to bus station with ATM on the way - the whole area is dirt roads, which gives it a great low key village feel Staff: - friendly, helpful when I arrived on the late bus Accom: - basic but has what you need - relaxing garden view out bedroom window, - bed was firm but comfortable/ ok - fan in room Kitchen: - you can use with basic utensils etc, tho it wasnt the cleanest.

Cons Location: - Music from nearby bar was loud til early morning, Sat night (but not on other nights) Room: - basic, thin pillow - bathroom was not the cleanest - had to ask for a towel, it was thin - inside rooms you need to walk through the living/ kitchen to get to the room - other guests complained about drains smell in outside rooms Note: Cannabis is legal in Uruguay and theres a lot around this village and this accommodation, occasionally the smell was quite strong coming in the room. If youre totally against it maybe try somewhere else.

Friendly staff

The price did not reflect at all the quality of the room. Mold, cobwebs in the walls. Old forniture and outdated. Very old and uncomfortable mattress that probably has never been changed or clean! Bedroom and bathroom were very dirty, in term of the staff is not aware on how to clean properly a place used by guests. I do work in the tourism industry with more than 10 years experience and I can tell you that Staff was very friendly but with not much knowleadge on take care a tourist property. Example: as soon as we checked in I asked to give another round of cleaning, especially, in the bathroom.. Lots of hairs in and around the sink from previous guests and dirty spots all over. The owner replied gently that it was fine to do it, but the the room was still dirty and they used same mop without changing the dirty water from cleaning other rooms. Absolutely disgusting. The property did not reflect the quality it looked in your website. I’m happy to share photos. I believe I have to be more carefull next time booking on your website since the some properties might not reflect the reality. I would have been happy to pay more and stay there place.

Location was great, steps from the beach. Nice common area with a hammock and kitchen. Hosts were super friendly and helpful. Were able to rent beach chairs and umbrella at a very reasonable price.

The bathroom had quite an unpleasant smell and the towel bar was falling off the wall. The room wasn't the cleanest when we arrived.

Moises was really kind and helpful. The garden is so peaceful. The location is perfect for the beach and the main road. The bed was really comfortable.

There are a lot of bugs in the summer so take some repellent! Just a few changes would really make the place great. The walls needed a clean, the bathroom needed a floor mat. The fan was very old. But generally we loved the place!
