Excellent location to all of the important landmarks of Colonia. Staff were very friendly, all the basic amenities you need for a hostel. Room is cute, very Spanish/Portuguese colonial style

Could be a little bit more clean but is good for the price you pay

Nic was probably the best host I have ever encountered. You can tell he has some pride over the town.

Cleanliness of the bathroom could have been a lot better. Shower curtain not long enough, so bathroom floor was always wet.

Nic, the owner, was very friendly and helpful; great location near the old town, plenty of shops, and a short walk to the bus station and ferry terminal; wifi worked well in my room; shared bathroom had a good sized shower with good water pressure

breakfast was very small (coffee, tea, juice, a few pieces of fruit, and a few small baked goods)

The location was excellent--right in the middle of Colonia. The internet was strong enough for working. Staff was friendly and flexible!

The owner Nic was kind and attentive. The breakfast was very good. He apologized and gave me a significant discount because of the issues l raised.

The room had a significant amount of black mould on the walls near the ceiling and smelt of mould. The mattress was in very poor condition, sinking significantly. There were bed bugs - l got bitten all night. The bedding was stained and dirty. Another guest in the room next door had music blaring from her phone constantly, including after she was asked several times to turn it down. She invited 2 men to the hostel, one of whom stayed the night. They talked till 2.30am and then again from 4.50am at which time they also turned music on. They continued talking despite my request for quiet. While other guests are outside the control of management, the fact that no staff stays on the premises increases the possibility of risk and disturbance.
