Turned up for shared dorm- all beds available had rodent droppings all over the beds, including on top of the folded ‘fresh sheets’ at bottom of bed. Didn’t even check in found another place.

Lovely vibrant colors - typically had the room all to myself after staying here for 10 days. Host doesn’t speak English but I also don’t speak Vietnamese so use a translator or add them on WhatsApp! Over communicate is the best practice if necessary. No extravagant amenities but a comfortable bed and atmosphere!

You’re right, you will want a motorbike if you stay here or need to walk a decent walk into the center.. many moto bike rentals when you arrive from the ferry.
