Lo Lo Homestay & Cafe Meo Vac

The owner was very sweet and kind and her dog Bob is adorable.

I feel bad to leave this review because of how sweet the owner is but this place is just not good. We stayed in the private room and the bed legit felt like sleeping on concrete floor, it was dirty and felt like we were sleeping in a wooden shed. There was spider webs and bugs in all the corners of the room. The window didn't fully shut and the walls were paper thin so we could hear every single noise from outside the room which is located directly across from the check in desk and communal area. The neighborhood dogs came onto the property and started playing with the owners dog and barking at 3am for an hour so we could not sleep as they were right outside our window. The bathroom smelt so bad like sewage you couldn't even breath in there and even after just being in there for a minute the smelt stained your clothes and you could smell it all day on you. The shower rooms had massive spider webs with spiders and bugs in them. It said online that they had a family dinner option available but when we got there we were told it was too late to sign up. We were also told by the owner we would have a breakfast option in the morning but when we got up and asked the lady at the desk had no idea what we were talking about so we left with no breakfast. This place was way overpriced for what it is. I would not recommend staying here to anybody wanting a decent, comfy and clean nights stay.

Really cute, rustic homestay in a good location in Meo Vac. We stayed in a private room which is quite small but feels cosy. You get a mosquito net which is handy and the property as a whole feels traditional which we liked. The dorm room looked really good for big groups of friends. Shared showers and toilets but they were in really nice condition and clean. Hot water worked perfectly. The host speaks good English and was very welcoming. The food was also absolutely delicious.

Maybe a tad too expensive for what it is but we're splitting hairs. Beds are quite hard but again, we slept well.

The location is good and they provide parking for your bike. Our host was really accommodating and cooked a nice breakfast. We originally booked a dorm but were a bit scared of there being lots of bugs there! So we swapped to a private room which they accommodated easily for us. There are mosquito nets anyway on all the beds.

Sleeping arrangements are very simple with thin mattresses and pillows, but you get what you pay for and for us it was all we needed. Unfortunately the hostel next door had reeeally loud karaoke until late, and then the dogs were barking a lot, so we didn't sleep well.

Hardest bed in Vietnam after night it hurts all body, a lot of sounds in the night all around, dogs, karaokes… The blanket was to small for two persons

Nice spot with a lot of space and a great view. Host was amazing. She helped us with the route and immediately jumped on a bike to get us some more beers. Great food and also nice breakfast.

The homestay next door was quite loud, but fortunately that ended before bedtime. Matras was typically Vietnamese ;)

Nice space, a little bit above and back from the town. The host was really lovely and accomodating. The room was small but cozy. The showers were really good once heated up.

A little noisy with karaoke in the evening but nothing that earbuds couldn't solve. I think it also ended fairly early.

Very helpful and nice staff who helped us organise a bus and where always around. Beautiful typical house and a good Pho for breakfast !

Lolo House was a great experience ! we only thought we could do more activities around in Meo Vac :)
