Baan Mai Sak

Location, simple and essential!

Very kind owner who knew all of his guests' names and told me upon arrival who was also sleeping in my room. Very easy to meet lovely people here. The room was big. Large shared area with sofa, a table to eat food and some hammocks outside. Shared kitchen to prepare food. Free water. Was able to rent a motorbike for a good price. Nice location opposite a great restaurant/café and next to a yoga studio and a place to relax, make music and play games in the evening. The night market street is 5-10 minutes walking distance.

The bathroom facilities were clean, but felt a bit uncomfortable. A/C in the room was turned off during the day even when people were inside.

I did the 6 person mixed dorm and it was one of the best dorm experiences I've had. It was clean and everyone was respectable and quiet. I didn't know what to expect from an outdoor bathroom but it was great. The owner and family are so kind and accommodating. I only booked for a couple of nights, but I came back towards the end of my stay because I loved it so much. Right across from Om garden cafe which was amazing- I went there everyday. Next door to Bodhi Tree Yoga which is also amazing.

The half-curtains on the beds and the top bunk does not have any. Not a big deal though you get used to it.

Very friendly and helpful owner, located close to walking street and shops.

Very homely, cosy stay and staff were exceptionally kind . They are seen cleaning everyday.

Beds were very hard, sometimes quite difficult to sleep. Gets very hot during the day when aircon is off.

The owners were lovely and attentionate. They were ready with a list of recommendations of places to visit during our stay and were always happy to help. I would definitely stay there again if I come back to Pai.

The place feels more like a home wa typical hostel. It was cozy and very comfortable. It is in a quiet area of the town center and the owners were very nice, they even prepared snacks for us. You can also rent a scooter with a good price.
