La Palmera Hostel

I’ve stayed in many hostels in Cali and that one is absolutely the best. Amazing volunteers, the way breakfast is served, lots of common areas to socialize, chill or work, café, bar and last but not least - the owners truly care about the guests and want you to have the best experience in Cali (definitely asks for recommendations, they know the best spots!); additional points - José is absolutely hilarious 😂🫶🏼

Light in the bathroom upstairs was automatically turning off every 10 seconds, which caused getting ready really difficult and annoying

La ubicación permite visitar a pie los lugares turísticos, para lugares más alejados, hay una estación de MÍO cerca. Alrededor hay restaurantes gourmet, veganos y populares.

Todo en el hostal está dirigido a un público extranjero. El staff que atiende el escritorio también es extranjero, aunque tratan de hablar español, no funciona bien, tuve que hablarles en inglés para entendernos. Por esta razón, ofrecen adentro un tour bastante costoso, podrían diferenciarlo bajando un poco para los nacionales. Los lockers no son los mejores, se podría aprovechar el espacio bajo las camas inferiores para colocar unos lockers extraibles. Podría colocarse una silla o una butaca dentro de la habitación para facilitar el cambio de ropa o simplemente calzarse. Quienes tienen camas inferiores no tienen este problema.

Camera privata molto bella, spaziosa e con balcone. Attività organizzate, lezioni di salsa e suggerimenti su cosa fare. Cucina molto ben attrezzata, rooftop e letti molto comodi

Tal vez el tema del ruido, porque el dia viernes en la madrugada seguro muchos llegaron de fiesta, y se hicieron en la recepcion para hablar pero si hacian mucho ruido, fue como por 20 minutos y pues no es big deal, pero solo para que lo tomen en cuenta :)

An amazing hostel - one of our favourites across Latin America. There is salsa every day, very social, great coffee with good deals, and we had a huge private room for a great price with terrace and en suite! The only slight downer was that someone (guest? Random?) tried the door then a volunteer knocked to enter our room while we were inside ‘just to see what it looked like’ because the guest ‘knew the owner’ and that made me uncomfortable. Otherwise a fabulous stay and lovely volunteers. Breakfast was simple and DIY but good!

As above, we were uncomfortable that someone was invited to look around our room without advanced notice and I didn’t have time to protest before she was in while I was in bed unwell. Also not tons of restaurants or shops nearby? Bit of a walk but nothing too major. Otherwise a perfect stay.
