The location is unmatched, right on the beachfront with a bar, pool and plenty of lounges. The dorm rooms are spacious and surprisingly quiet because of all the fans and at the back of the property away from the noise of the bar which is great. The staff are always super lovely and helpful and the vibe is the best! Will definitely be back!

⭐ Super séjour à Paje ! J’ai passé un excellent séjour au Drifters Zanzibar. À la base j’avais réservé un lit dans le dortoir, mais l’équipe m’a gentiment upgradé dans une chambre privée avec climatisation, ce qui a été une très belle surprise. Le personnel est vraiment accueillant et l’ambiance est très détendue. La nourriture est excellente, avec des produits locaux et du poisson frais pêché le matin. On sent vraiment la qualité et la fraîcheur des ingrédients. L’endroit est magnifique, entouré de palmiers et à quelques pas de la plage. C’est aussi l’un des meilleurs spots pour faire du kitesurf, avec des conditions parfaites à Paje. Un autre point très appréciable : l’établissement dispose d’un groupe électrogène, ce qui permet d’avoir toujours de l’électricité et la climatisation même lorsqu’il y a des coupures de courant sur l’île. Je recommande sans hésiter et j’y retournerais volontiers !

Fantastic place right next to the sea in Paje. Very sociable with a great mix of locals and travellers to meet. Awesome swimming pool and communal area, with friendly and helpful staff. I came for 3 days and stayed a week.

Drifters Hostel auf Sansibar ist ein gemütlicher, rustikaler Ort direkt am Strand – perfekt für unabhängige Reisende, die eine entspannte und soziale Atmosphäre suchen. Es ist kein Luxus-Hotel, sondern eher ein charmantes, bodenständiges Beach-Hostel mit viel Persönlichkeit. Besonders praktisch ist der Generator, da es auf Sansibar häufiger zu Stromausfällen kommen kann – so ist man dennoch gut versorgt. Als alleinreisende Frau habe ich mich dort sehr sicher gefühlt. Das Personal ist aufmerksam, hilfsbereit und sorgt dafür, dass man sich willkommen fühlt. Auch das Essen war sehr gut – frisch, lecker und absolut empfehlenswert. Insgesamt ein toller Ort für alle, die eine ungezwungene, freundliche Atmosphäre direkt am Meer genießen möchten.

Drifters ist ein sehr günstiges Hostel/Hotel, wobei man direkt an der Beach Front ist. Die Bungalows sind einfach gestaltet, aber genau das, was ich wollte. Sansibar hatte immer mal wieder Power Cuts, zum Glück verfügt das Hostel über einen Generator, somit war das auch kein Problem! Auch das Team vor Ort ist super lieb und kümmert sich gerne um alles. - Das Essen muss unbedingt probiert werden. Das Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis stimmt hier also perfekt! Ich komme gerne wieder :)

La ubicacion, linea de playa.

El peor hostal que me he quedado en años. Malas instalaciones, las piezas no eran igual a las fotos. Pedimos una habitación triple con 3 camas individuales, nos dieron una con cama doblé y una simple, la cual apenas cabían en la habitación. De los 3 enchufes de la habitación, solo uno funcionaba, y los ventiladores que nos dieron, se recalentaban y dejaban de funcionar a mitad de la noche. El baño tenia una puerta rota que habían arreglado con cartón, y que no cerraba, por lo que no había privacidad en el baño de la habitación. Y lo peor de todo fue la atención de la gante del local, cero amabilidad. Para nada reflejan el valor que pagamos de 60 USD la noche.
