The Onion is located within walking distance to Ubud centre. They have a restaurant with live music. It is quiet during the day, I had a pool for myself for most of the time.

They don't clean the room unless you ask them, and even then, they won't change the towels or bed sheets. The first time they changed, it was after five nights. Breakfast it's very limited and when I asked for two boiled eggs and a slice of bread instead of omelette (I had stomach bug) the waiter refuse any change first, only after I kept explaining that I had been sick for the last 24 hours and needed a light breakfast she said ok. To my disappointment, the slice of bread had a mould on it, which I only saw once I ate more than half of it. I wanted to complain, but nobody came to clean my plate, so I left and cut my stay short by booking accommodation elsewhere. Also I noticed mould in my room as well, the bathroom was dirty, the toilet water tank I had to manually turn the water to fill up and turn it off then as it wouldn't stop automatically. The holder for shower head was also flimsy, so the shower head was turning towards the wall. Hence, washing hair was somewhat challenging. I wouldn't stay again at or recommend The Onion to anybody who likes cleanliness and staff that's care.

Cute, lovely staff, great music every night

Loved the staff, they were so friendly. My flight arrived late and wasn’t able to arrive until 12 midnight & staff waited for me to open my room. Yummy breakfast included each day. Location is central but also quiet. Property is green and lush and well maintained and has nice Bali vibe. Great pool & my room nice and clean. Would recommend the Onion Co highly :)
