Our stay was comfortable. Rooms were clean. Staff was friendly, helpful and accomodating. Mountain view from our room and cafe was pretty amazing.

If you're looking for a peaceful retreat in the heart of the Himachal Pradesh mountains, Young Monk Hostel and Cafe Jibhi is the perfect place to stay. Nestled in the serene village of Jibhi, this cozy hostel offers a wonderful mix of comfort, great vibes, and delicious food, The warm hospitality of the Host made us feel right at home.

We have experienced issues after our arrival, however the manager solved them with flexibility and understanding. He wasn’t present, but was cooperative via phone. The view is fantastic yes! Considerably for India, the room and bathroom was clean.

We had mice in the room, very ennoying to hubt mice in the middle of the night!!! The service overall was very poor. No english, very bad, thus hard to communicate. Even to greet us was an issue for them, bad attitude (not about language!). We were the only guests for most of the stay (6 nights) and we felt not welcome. More like we bother them. They were on the phone all the time and no hospitality provided. Wifi in the room was extremely poor (in the cafe was ok). Electricity wasn't working for most of the time (it's the town issue). So if there is none, no hot shower or charging in the room. They have back up in the cafe in case (inconvenient!). Food is overprised and we were recommended by locals not to dine in. Mostly due to low quality and value. We had breakfast (eggs) every day, safe option and value. Some days even the sunny side up eggs were undercooked. We stayed at off season/end of March 25. Still quite cold in the evening and morning. No heater provided in the room. So if you're in the room you are expected to stay under the duvet in your bed. We had warm/winter clothes, still uncomfortable. *The room was colder than outside. Very thin walls in between the units, you can hear your neighbor switch on the light..literally. And every word as well.

Young Monk in Jibhi is a great place to stay! The mountain views are beautiful, and the food is delicious. But what makes it special is the warmth and hospitality. The staff is always ready to help, making sure you have everything you need. A big shoutout to Abhinav, such a kind and friendly person! He made our stay even better with his help and great conversations. The whole place feels welcoming. If you’re visiting Jibhi, this place is definitely worth staying at!
