Hostel Pupa

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in!! Felt so welcome and homely. Excellent location, on the bay, very close to old town with a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere. Picture taken directly outside of hostel!

It's very well located, in front of the marina and about 5 minutes from the old town. The staff is very lovely and gave us a quick overview of the things to do around Kotor. The bathroom was clean and had a good shower. Beds were comfortable and had curtains for privacy.

Having to make the bed is the only negative point to me, mainly because you get to see how dirty the beds and pillows are under the sheets. Also, they say you have free parking in front of the hostel. While this is not a false statement, it's a bit misleading as it's nearly impossible to find a free parking spot in front of the hostel. I had to spend about 1 hour searching for a place to park.

La situation géographique

Très peu de place dans la chambre tout les lits sont très rapprochés, les clients qui allument la lumière à 1/2h du matin. Pas assez d’espace dans les lieux communs au vu du nombre de client. Zéro intimité pour les douches.

Very spacious, amazing host! So knowledgeable and offered great recommendations! Comfortable, clean, felt private with the curtain and reading light in the beds. Great range of facilities in the kitchen!

Very well located hostel, just a short walk from the Old Town. The common area is pleasant and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The staff are incredibly kind, genuinely beyond what you would normally expect. One of the receptionists is especially impressive, speaking several languages fluently and making communication easy for guests from all over the world. They are friendly, helpful, and it is clear that their approach is not driven purely by money, unlike some hostels that feel more commercial than necessary. The atmosphere feels welcoming and authentic, which made my stay much more enjoyable.

My only criticism is related to noise management in the dorms. I booked a 10 bed room, so some of the usual challenges that come with a large shared dorm are naturally to be expected. Although the hostel has rules in place, they do not seem to enforce them very strictly. As a result, in a room with so many people, there will occasionally be guests who are inconsiderate and make excessive noise at inappropriate hours, which can affect everyone’s sleep. Hostels with stricter enforcement of quiet hours can sometimes feel a bit less relaxed, but they also tend to provide a more comfortable sleeping environment. For that reason, I think the hostel could benefit from being slightly firmer when it comes to enforcing noise related rules, especially during late night hours.
