Olive Hostel Lagos

Had a wonderful time in this hostel, it was so cozy, so beautiful, with multiple places where other guests could enjoy together, the location was amazing, in central Lagos, lots of attractions were close to the property, staff was so welcoming and everything was perfect about this stay. Would absolutely come back.

Great hostel, everyone was friendly the staff and the people there, had few great places to hangout and had snacks and drinks in the hostel reception. Quite close to the beach and the Marina.

No major complaints treat it as any other hostel and bring ear plugs or sleeping mask for best sleeping experience as with more people there is more chance that there will be noise or snoring.

Die Atmosphäre mit dem tollen Personal und den supernetten Gästen ist einfach unschlagbar. Ich hatte einen wirklich tollen Aufenthalt und habe viel mit den Leuten dort unternommen. Es gibt viele Bäder, sodass eigentlich immer eins frei ist. Alles war sauber , die Einrichtung sehr schön und gemütlichr Räume. Auch Räume/Dachterrasse, wo man sich zurückziehen kann. Ich werde wieder kommen. Vielen Dank für alles!

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in, it really felt like home. Super chill people who are social but not a party hostel. Very well equipped kitchen, nice courtyard area to chill, and a great rooftop area. They also had yoga in the mornings. Comfy beds and excellent location, I’m so glad I booked here and would definitely come back!

Really cool for a solo traveller who wants a more chilled but still sociable vibe. I’m in my 30s and most of the crowd was this age with a few older folks too. The hostel has a really nice courtyard which is sheltered so it’s cool during the heat of the day, and also an amazing sun-soaked roof terrace. Definitely wasn’t a party hostel but was still sociable with people having drinks, making plans together, etc. The location is brilliant, in the heart of it all and only ten minutes to the beach, surrounded by bars, restaurants and historic old town. Facilities seemed decent although I didn’t really cook. The hostel provided free tea and coffee, and had an honesty bar available for drinks/snacks. The beds were comfortable and the curtains were a nice touch around the bed. Rooms came with lockers (they provide the key so you don’t need a padlock). The staff were super friendly and pretty much always available if you needed them.

Rooms lacked a bit of storage for clothes - a pull-out drawer under the beds would be nice. The rooms didn’t have aircon, and the downside to the central location and needing the windows open was how loud it was - I’m a heavy sleeper but there was loud music and noisy people in the street until 2.30am every night. If you like an early night, bring some earplugs. It would be good if the hostel organised a few more activities such as hikes, sunsets or trips.

Super vriendelijk personeel. Dichtbij het centrum van Lagos en toch redelijk rustig in de avond.

Het hostel is opgedeeld in 3 losse ‘huizen’/appartementencomplexen. Ik zat hierdoor op een andere plek dan waar de receptie zat, de gemeenschappelijke ruimte en de dorms. Ik was hier blij mee omdat het daardoor rustiger was en meer privacy en ruimte, maar ik miste een beetje de aansluiting met de andere gasten (waar ik specifiek dit hostel voor gekozen had ivm. mijn soloreis). Als je dus graag tussen de mensen zit is het wel goed daar op te letten bij het boeken van dit hostel.

De privé kamer is in een apart nieuwer gebouw met slechts 3 kamers. De kamer is ruim genoeg voor 1 persoon, er is een ruime propere badkamer, kleine keuken. Er is een geweldige rooftop waar je kan relaxen! Wandelafstand van het centrum. Zeer vriendelijk en sociaal personeel.

De eerste nacht had ik een bed in een vrouwelijke slaapzaal van 4. De bedden zijn zeer oncomfortabel hard en de bewegen heel veel. Het hoofdgebouw is wat ouder, rommerliger, de badkamers ook (ze zijn wel proper). Sommige vinden dit misschien charmant. Ik vond het niet zo'n leuke sfeer. Het nieuwe gedeelte was wel ok. De slaapkamer waar ik in sliep is direct aan de keuken, dit geeft lawaai ik de ochtend maar met oordoppen viel dit goed mee.

Die Leute waren alle entspannt und ich bin schnell mit ihnen in Kontakt gekommen. Einer der entspanntesten Unterkünfte. Man konnte schnell von dort aus überall hin in 5 Minuten. Immer wieder gerne ☀️
