Right in the heart of Olon, very home-like Gran Azul provides good sleep in reasonable prices. The mattress was one the best I have had, and the very important fan was oh so silent. Also the house cat and dog were a bonus.

The location means also that the room can become quite noisy in the weekends, when people blast music all day and night in the streets, and actually on the balcony of the hostel itself.

The hostel is very clean, nice place for stay with the partner of family . good price for the comfort you have,good WI FI.

The vibe was great and the owners were very kind, sweet, and accommodating. I arrived earlier than expected to check in and they were very courteous with me; had my room ready very quickly. It felt like I was staying at an old friend's place, super chill! A great spot to stay while visiting Olon; I wish I could have stayed longer and if I return to Olon I will definitely be staying there again! It is a short walk from the beach, close to some delicious food, and safe to walk around. Loved Olon and its people, and loved Hostel Gran Azul!

I have no complaints, just remember, this is a hostel style establishment and not a hotel, so plan accordingly.

It was very noisy. thin walls and lot of noise from the balcony music. next to the entrance and right under my window they had a barbecue, grilling meat what smelled terrible and the smoke was in my room It was not really clean. In the coffeemaker old coffee was rotting… I was glad I booked only one night.

Great location about 5 minutes walk from the beach and pretty central in the town.

You have to pay $3 a day for air con which is not made clear in the description. Beds and pillows were very uncomfortable. Room and kitchen didn't feel clean. I found a bikini top down the side of the mattress about 2 minutes after getting in the room which didn't fill me with confidence that the bed had been changed since the previous guests. It smelt due to cat food. Very different to all other hostels we've stayed in as we were in a room next to the couple running the hostel. Was more like being in a shared air BnB rather than a hostel.
