Blue Bird Boutique Hostel - Riga Old Town

It was in a really good location in the old town. Check in and security was good. There is no lift so you have to get your bags up 3 floors to reception but I knew this. My private room was another floor up. They had washing machine facilities which was handy and a nice seating lounge area that did get some sunshine ( unlike my room). A very well equipped kitchen also.

My private room looked into a courtyard so was fairly dark which was disappointing.

Well, it will be little long. This is great hostel..Old building but all adapted perfectly.. No lift till 3th floor but ok.. Bed comfortable.. clean..kitchen good.. toilets/showers super.. Location can not be better.. All is good.. And thats normal things for those who what to run good bussiness.. BUT.. If you check in after 17.30 You got a message about the Keys.. AND THAT... THAT IS PRICELESS..😃😃 READING EXPLANATION ABOUT IT IS JUST PRICELESS.. THATS THE BEST PART OF ALL STAY.. 😃😃 AND IS ALL GOOD AND PERFECT EXPLAINED AND WORKING PERFECT.. thanks Blue bird.. good stay

The box(locker) was dirty where bedding stays but maybe accidently, and this wooden sarrounding of bed looks a bit scarry.. would be nicer only curtens by my opinion.. but nothing to lower the rewiew.. Nothing can do after that KEYS MSG.. 🤣🤣

Die Lage ist sehr zentral und ideal für Reisende, die nur ein paar Tage in Riga verbringen. Das Bett war jedoch wenig bequem, und leider waren einige Mitbewohner im Zimmer laut, unordentlich und wenig rücksichtsvoll

Das Bett und das Zimmer waren insgesamt eine Enttäuschung.

Очень удобное расположение в центре старого города.Номер очень свежий и чистый. Персонал приветливый и дружелюбный.Фото соответствуют действительности.

The staff was so sweet and accommodating, amazing communication in this place! Good location, very clean at all times, functional kitchen if needed, nice showers, easy access with codes and key boxes outside of reception hours. Note that it’s upstairs with no elevator (in case of disability). Beds are very private with cubicle and curtain, electrical plug in the bed as well as private bed light, and rooms are big, light and airy. Tiny towel and earplugs, tea & coffee provided for free. I think it’s the first hostel room I’ve stayed in with a chandelier! The building is beautifully decorated Art Nouveau in blue and white with a stained glass blue bird in the ceiling of the staircase, and bird shaped brass door handles, so pretty! Like a princess in her castle overlooking Riga.

All I was missing was a prince!
