Tropical Canggu Hostel

Room was ok for the price. Pool was nice

There was no locks on the doors, water didn’t work properly and no blankets in room

Check in took ages, it seems they didn't find my reservation for the night. The bathroom was horrible, the room is very old. I understand it's cheap, but with 3-4 euros more you have proper hostels in Canggu. Don't book here, save yourself some nightmares at night ;)

Staff were very nice and helpful.

The location is great. Its 10 minutes to the beach right outside a busy road but still enclosed enough to create a cozy quiet vibe. Apart from the pool there is also a pool table and a water refill station.

The staff wasnt the most helpfull in some situations but in general still fine. Also they usually play music into the night which i guess can be fun if theres a crowd in the communal area but at the time we were there it was honestly just kind of annoying at times

It’s close to the city centre and the beach so you don’t spend much time walking around. Nice cafes in proximity. Bathrooms and rooms are generally clean.

Staff is very overwhelmed with requests and bookings. They did hand out my laundry without checking my name, as I wanted to check out they did not find my reservation/ put the extension of my stay under a wrong name. There are no blankets or towels provided. My bed was constantly dirty as something was falling down from the ceiling. Mosquitos can easily enter through the bathroom and the main door, no mosquito net provided.. No no-sex in the dormitories policy, I really had an awful night as two strangers had sex below me… please provide an extra room for something like this, I am staying in a hostel because I want to sleep and not experience a boat ride… and be aware that this hostel is generally quite loud as it is near the street.
