The outside shared space

What I didn’t love about the property was the condition of the space itself. It feels quite old and outdated, and unfortunately the air circulation is very poor. The rooms felt stuffy most of the time, and there was a noticeable stale smell that made it hard to fully relax. There also seemed to be some mold issues, which is concerning in shared living quarters. What stood out to me is that these feel like fixable issues that simply have not been properly addressed. With the reality of air pollution in India, it feels especially important that the inside environment is clean, fresh, and breathable. This is particularly important in the women’s quarters, where comfort and safety should be prioritized. There is definitely potential here, but improving ventilation, addressing dampness, and refreshing the space would make a huge difference in the overall experience.

Location was great! The general chill out area was fantastic! Great hostel to meet others.

There was often queues for the showers and toilets. My dorm was fine and spacious, but the downstairs dorm (female), was really cramped and smelled musty. The hostel helped a couple of get SIM cards, but the guy that the hostel arranged to come and help us, charged 1,200 rupees - when the actual cost was less than 400 rupees. I don’t mind paying something for the help, but I felt this was a bit of a rip off.

PLEASE READ - I would give 0 stars to this place if it wasn’t for the lovely manager Abul and the beautiful group of travellers I met. A constant flow of bed bugs in every dorm (to the point of no sleep), a large dead rat in my bag and on the premise (often in bathrooms), and cctv cameras in every room which the owner can (and does) watch - this is ILLEGAL. There were a number of times I was changing and realised a camera was directly on me. Also cameras just outside the bathroom. I stayed here long enough to know this wasn’t a one time occurrence but a long standing issue A shame as the place is otherwise well kept and the workers really kind, just a shame the owner seems not to care about privacy.

Basic necessities

1)Water was not there when we go for washroom in the morning & once it arrived, It ended within 45 minutes. 2) Security locker facility was not proper. 3) Stairs were very small in size. 4) Dorm was not completely private.
