The host is one of the friendliest I've met running a hostel in India. He was super helpful with suggesting ways into the town and supported with scooter rental at a good deal. On my first evening, he sat and had a few drinks with me and another guest to offer advice on things to see. An all-round fantastic, genuine, friendly bloke - makes the hostel 100% worth staying a bit out the city for. Rooms were clean and lots of private storage available. Bathroom was good, with hot shower available.

It's about a 40-minute walk uphill to the main town. You can take shared taxis, but I got heavily overcharged when taking one and they don't speak English - I'd be wary of using them if you're not Indian as there's a fair chance they'll try to take advantage of you. The Wifi also didn't work in the room I was in (401). Cell signal is temperamental in this area too.
