Hashtag Traveler's

One of the staff members was very friendly and kind, he went beyond to have small Diwali celebrations with the other guest and I. The facilities are comfortable and nice. Especially the common spaces such as the terrace and living room. Having a shared kitchen and filtered water was nice.

I have now stayed in both Hashtag Traveler's in Ayodhya and Lucknow. The issue I had with both was that I felt I was constantly being ripped off. It's not a comfortable feeling when as a foreigners, even the hostel where you're staying and should feel safe, makes you vigilant. There were extra fees on top of the set price and taxes. Perhaps the fee was rounding up. It wasn't just me, another guest was overcharged for a food item that had a set price. He made a scene and didn't have to end up paying but it is not comfortable when you feel you can't trust the hostel staff to be honest and caring. Also, they do not wash the linen in between guests.

It's probably one of the only two hostels in Lucknow. Considering that, they've tried to mark the prices up a tiny little bit. But the hostel in itself is pretty good. There are just two dorms, with 6 bunks each. The bathrooms and rooms are pretty big and well maintained. The kitchen space is okay-ish. There are some meal options as well. The public transport connectivity is pretty good though.

The common space is too small. The rooftop seating is pretty limited as well. You need to climb up four floors to reach the hostel as they don't have an elevator.

I didn't liked any facilities at Hashtag. Very bad experience

It's in 4th floor, There is no lift till 4th floor. And one day I ordered maggi but received less quantity of Maggi, even receptionist boy accepted his mistake and A/c timing is not vary.

Behaviour of staff was friendly and helpful.

I didn't like few things 1. The AC was not operational whole day. They have timings for that i.e. 10 PM to 8 AM. 2.The slippers were not allowed inside, this was good for hygiene point of view, but they should provide personal bathroom slippers 3. The toilet seat was not comfortable. They should change it.
