Sea Sands Beach Hostel

i like negombo beach

I stayed two nights... Everything was Good... Without Bed and Ventilation problem of the room. Specially terrace area was nice...you can see the ocean from the terrace and feel the sound and air. Owner was friendly one. Nice one for one or two nights.

Only two things: -Bed sheet wasn't nice clean, it was little bit dirty without mosquito net, Which is important in Sri Lanka. -Big room but only one fan so, couldn't cover all area that's why it was hot inside the room. Otherwise everything was great.

Great staff and very helpful. The place is near the beach. The shower is great. Decent AC

The place is surrounded by noisy establishments. There was a loud music outside until wee hours that made us prevented to sleep. It wasn’t that clean. It’s smelly in the room.

Location on the beach

Very dirty bathroom and foul smelling. The drain was blocked so water from the shower would flood and smell. The corner of the bunk where I had to climb up was broken. The bed was uncomfortable I could feel the railings below through the mattress where it was so worn down. Cobwebs all over the ceiling near to where I was sleeping. Loud music all evening so if you want an early night I don’t recommend it. I woke up with bites all over my legs despite spraying a lot of mosquito spray. The staff member who checked us in was very rude, when we asked simple questions he became very defensive. Did not allow us to swap rooms to be with our friends even though there was empty beds in there.
