Hostel Douro Backpackers

A 7-minute walk from the train station. The common areas and rooms are very clean and quiet. The layout of the space is well thought out, giving a nice sense of privacy. The terrace is super cute – if you have time, you can even have a barbecue there. The kitchen is fully equipped, perfect for cooking even for picky eaters. The hosts welcome everyone like family. The little welcome ritual at the entrance feels like a six-star hotel. They carefully explain the surroundings to every guest – something I’ve never experienced at any other guesthouse. Even if you’re traveling alone, you’ll never feel bored in the evenings, because the hosts help create great interactions among guests. I also really enjoyed listening to the story of how the hosts first met – it was delightful!

Pedro I know it’s lots to ask, u really need to add Taiwan flag and land onto both map! Portugal is the first country to discover Formosa! That’s means a lots in the history!

Sem duvida um dos melhores hostels em que já fiquei. Muito limpo e em ótimas condições. Pedro e Sarah são anfitriões muito simpáticos. Você sente-se em casa, a relação e comunicação que se estabelece com os anfitriões e com os outros hospedes, torna-se uma experiencia muito enriquecedora. Parabéns Pedro por terem concebido este hostel fantástico. Hostel 5 estrelas!

Lo que más me gustó del hostel fue pefri y sara. Dos personas excepcionales dueñas del alojamiento que te hacen sentir como en ti casa. Recomiendo, aun cuando se alojen en otro lugar, pasen a conocerlos y charlar con ellos. Vale la pena. La calidez humana es total.

A very nice hostel at a great location! The owners Pedro and Sara were the best, they gave us a warm welcome and a lot of recommendations around the village. The facilities were very nice and clean! Would have loved to stay longer than just one night!

I liked everything about this hostel - it was super clean, quite small in size, and chilled out with a lovely rooftop garden area and well equipped kitchen. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and always ready to help/give recommendations. I arrived as a solo traveller but barely spent any time alone in my first two days in Pinhão, as I went for hikes and for dinner with other hostel guests. The location is great if you are looking for a chilled time walking and visiting wineries, etc. I would have happily stayed here longer. Thank you Pedro for a fab stay!
