Hostel Douro Backpackers

The hostel is modern and well-finished, with a gorgeous rooftop view - a beautiful place to sit and eat. The rooms and bathroom are kept absolutely spotless. Good powerful, warm showers. Pedro and Sara make you feel at home and give great advice on what to do, where to eat etc. There is food, tea, coffee etc available via an honesty box system. Highly recommend!

Pedro and Sara are such great hosts they are extremely friendly and create such a personal experience. The hostel is in a great location, with a lovely rooftop and clean cute rooms. I celebrated my birthday here, and they made it so special. We will definitely be back. Obrigada!

Superbe séjour dans l’auberge de Sarah et Pedro. Elle est idéalement placée à Pinhao sur les berges du Douro avec des paysages magnifiques et de nombreuses activités possibles (randonnées, dégustations etc). Sarah et Pedro ont été particulièrement accueillants et nous ont donné de très bons conseils d’activité et de restaurant pour notre séjour. L’auberge quand à elle est particulièrement bien entretenue et agréable. Mention spéciale à la terrasse à 3 niveaux qui permet de profiter du soleil et de la vue sur la vallée. Un grand merci !

This was the best hostel I have ever stayed at, the kindness, trust and love put into this hostel is unbelievable and the owners treat you like you are family. I will definitely be coming back sometime in the future, for me, this is better than a hotel. Pedro and Sarah are lovely.
