We did not stay. The only positive was that the manager was understanding and kind, and let us have a refund and leave. He asked for constructive feedback, which is good.

We opted not to stay at this hostel, as the lock on the door to our room was hanging off and could easily be bashed off or unscrewed. The staff did attempt to fix this, but the room was still insecure after their attempt. Because of this we felt unsafe leaving our belongings there, or even sleeping there at night. To get to the room, you had to go down a swampy path which could've easily caused is to slip. The girl on the front desk charged us a certain amount, and then when we said we wanted to leave and get a refund, she suddenly remembered we were owed change from what she had initially charged us. This was suspicious and indicated to us that she had overcharged us purposely, but did not want her manager to find out.

Value for money and location

Despite confirming from them earlier that it's for my driver, they asked my ID proof repeatedly when driver reached there.
