Nepalaya Eco Hostel

Really good value for money and very nice, accommodating people. A relatively quieter street, quieter for Lakeside, there is still traffic noise. They kept the kitchen open for me so I could make myself an early coffee. They kept my big bag for me while I went trekking, training etc. I often had the dorm room to myself.

They have a restaurant out the back where they cool everything on a wood fire. There was a hint of wood smoke at times!

Booked for 2 nights, stayed for 3 weeks 🙏 I think that says enough. Highly recommend, clean and comfortable, restaurant in the garden, regularly cleaned, very helpful and friendly staff.

The hospitality here is exceptional. We visited during the off-season and happened to be the only guests, which meant we received truly personalized attention. Gyan and Jennifer were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The highlight was the fresh, home-cooked meals served in the backyard - absolutely delicious and not to be missed!

I checked into Nepalaya Eco Hostel on my first night in Pokhara and ended up staying for over a month. It’s such an easy place to relax and just unwind. Rather than feeling like a typical hostel, it felt more like a homestay with a restaurant—comfortable and welcoming—yet still offered the benefits of a hostel. I enjoyed meeting other travelers in the shared dorm, and the atmosphere was laid-back and friendly. The family who runs the hostel was incredibly helpful on many occasions—from finding me a quiet room for a conference call to setting up an extension cord so I could charge my laptop in the dorm. These small acts of kindness made a big difference in my stay. I’d definitely return here the next time I’m in Pokhara.
