Hostel Center Plovdiv

1. Great location right in the heart of the city in walking distance from major tourist attractions. 2. Good price. 3. Nice host. 4. Flip-flops provided for the shower.

The niceness of the host makes me feel really sorry for what I'm about to (and unfortunately must) write below. 1. My room and probably the others, too, required thorough cleaning. I kindly asked the host to do so, he swept the floor and dusted the tabletops, but everything else still needed lots of attention. Even without the dust the floor was still dirty, and I found really unpleasant amount of breadcrumbs in the drawers. 2. In the pictures my room looked much nicer, at least the walls were bright. In reality they turned out to be covered with dark self-adhesive paper imitating wood, and looked awful. 3. The whole place smells of old rug and tobacco. 4. The shared washroom/bathroom/WC (call it whatever you want) was also really dirty and quite inconvenient, as there are no walls or partitions of any kind between shower, sink and toilet, so everything was wet. The toilet bowl hasn't been cleaned in ages. 5. No kitchen, although there's definitely some space to put a kettle and a microwave. 6. The hostel's located on the fourth floor (counting from the ground), there's no lift, the stairs are quite steep, and there's no mention of that in the description. Wasn't much of a problem for me, but not all people can climb that high up. 7. Heating's provided at an extra cost. And it's not extra heating, as described by the host, it's the only heating, at least it was so in my room.

Мы ехали смотреть город, важен был ночлег и душ. Как эконом вариант все соответствовало цене. Самое главное- местоположение супер. Рядом Старый город, площадь с фонтанами, торговый ряд, кафешки и магазины. Если для вас не принципиален ремонт и роскошь, то вам сюда. Ещё важно, хостел на 4 этаже без лифта. Может не все физически смогут подниматься несколько раз в день. Всем приятных путешествий!

A very central location just past Mc Donald’s. Easy to find. I mean it is what it is, probably the cheapest room in town, if you want to keep costs down !
