Liebevoll und praktisch eingerichtet und in traumhafter Lage mit Blick zum Fjord 😊

Lors de notre séjour en famille au Sognhostel, installé dans une ancienne école rénovée, nous avons apprécié la tranquillité des lieux et l’emplacement idéal. Les chambres et les espaces communs étaient assez propres, et la cuisine commune bien équipée nous a permis de préparer nos repas facilement. Le Wi-Fi fonctionnait bien et les espaces détente étaient agréables. Même si nous n’avons pas vraiment vu le personnel ni reçu d’accueil direct, les instructions et messages envoyés avant notre arrivée étaient clairs et suffisants. Le rapport qualité-prix reste intéressant pour un hébergement simple et économique. Le frigo dans la chambre est un vrai plus.

En revanche, nous avons constaté que le nombre de sanitaires était limite par rapport au nombre de chambres, bien que nous n'en ayons pas souffert car l'établissement n'était pas plein. De plus, la douche que nous avons utilisée n’était pas très propre, avec la présence de cheveux sur l’écoulement, ce qui a un peu gâché notre confort.

A functional yet very lovingly organised hostel with a view on one of the most beautiful fjords in Norway.

We liked several different areas where one could spend time, also outside, everything was clean and nice.

There are only two (or one if being more private) showers for those who share facilities and it can be too little.

Great value, exactly what it claims to be. Bedroom was clean and functional (with a fridge which was an added bonus) and I was able to catch up on pretty much a whole suitcase worth of laundry. Location is a little further out but the scenery and views were worth the effort. Not really any food options nearby buy so good to bring food (kitchen was well equipped). Was a little quiet in the off-season. Hosts were quick to respond to any questions.

Beautiful spot at the Åfjord in a peaceful village with friendly and very helpful people. Marita and Anne Berit own this place and are very hospitable. Good rooms, most of them having a big fridge, good kitchen huge dining room and many different spaces where one can stay to read, watch television, play games etc etc. Lots of space around this old school as well, also ideal for kids and youth. At 2 km there is Sørbøvåg where one can safely swim in the fjord. Next to this badestrand also a lot of playing possibilities for kids and youth. I suppose many tourists will skip Åfjord and travel to famous destinations. They shouldn’t because here it’s Norway at its best!

It was an exceptionally well-appointed place with a great kitchen, common areas, view, and amazing water pressure in the showers.

The top bunk bed could use a sturdier and longer bed guard for little kids.
