Beautiful location and fantastic staff. Peter and Anna are great! Really good cafe nearby with delicious pastries, as well.

You do have to walk to see the castle (it’s not right on the property), but it’s in a very cute little “town”.

Radiators don’t warm up too much

Unique location in green nature on a peninsula near Stockholm and its archipelago. Lots of hiking trails starting at the door. Very friendly and efficient hosts who will help you with your sightseeing queries and make your stay much more personalised and enjoyable than if you just went to an average hotel. Opportunity to meet other interesting travellers in shared premises which are well equipped and clean. Good breakfast.

Pleasantly surprised by this hostel! Beautiful green area. Hostel is surrounded by some nice old buildings, like the cafe (which was unfortunately closed during our stay). Peaceful and quiet. The room overlooked large meadows with horses. It was high season but a week of low bookings, so enough time and possibilities to use shared kitchen and bathroom - but I van imagine this can be a bottleneck when fully booked. Everything extremely clean! Very friendly hosts and good advice on tips for the area. Close to stunning Vaxholm and all the important ferry’s.

The upper bunk beds where impossible to enter or exit, especially for adults. Very uncomfortable “wooden steps” to get in and out - if not dangerous! The strong hydraulic door closers make it very heavy to open the doors, almost impossible for young kids. No possibility of closing doors in a silent way. The breakfast was good but expensive, but I guess that is the general problem Sweden is dealing with. Prices are generously overrated.
