Soham Haveli Udaipur

The location was in a quiet part but only a short walk over a bridge to the more bustling part. The room was fairly basic and the bed was comfortable. They also provided extra pillows on request. For the price it was basic and fair. The views from the roof terrace are nice. They arranged a taxi to the airport for us. The staff were friendly and did their best.

The bathroom is pretty small, the wifi wasn’t that strong, the roof terrace wasn’t very well kept, coffee took quite awhile, we didn’t have breakfast but saw that can take some time too. All only minor things but worth making a note of for improvements with some things.

We were given early checkin which was nice. Also the views from good were good with lake view.

The scooty which we took on rent were not in good condition but that is manageable.

Location was good just back of Khama Ghani Restaurant. Caretaker ( Kamlesh) tried and helped us in every possible way. You could also rent scooty from them which was added advantage otherwise all the auto drivers in Udaipur will keep looting you.

No lift - All family rooms were at 2nd and 3rd floor. So if you have senior citizen it will be difficult. The family rooms were small, the one in the 3rd floor had no ventilation, so we choose 2nd floor which had a small wierd window. Few, basic things were missing like no hangers or cupboard for hanging clothes, 1 towel, 1 soap for a family of 4. The bunk bed was noisy. Commode seat was broken. Ola/Uber cabs doesn't want to go to this location, some how they will call you and ask for double the charge which is listed in the app.

The entrance is gorgeous and so inviting and the place has some really beautiful touches. Our room was lovely with a decent bathroom, hot water and a comfy bed. I lived that had shelves and a wardrobe which was helpful..The view from the terrace was beautiful and we had a great breakfast each morning. You could walk everywhere and there are plenty of food and shops nearby.and yet it was peaceful at night. Staff were really helpful too and the manager also woke up extra early to check us out. It's really good value for money. We would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Udaipur

Le personnel de réception ne parle pas Anglais. La pression de l'eau dans la douche n'a pas toujours été bonne, rendant la douche parfois inutilisable. Le wifi est inutile La chambre se trouve directement au dessus des cuisines du plus grand restaurant de la ville, donnant droit à des odeurs de nourriture dans la chambre jusqu'à tard le soir. Le lac est à peine visible malgré la chambre "lake view" Sur Booking il est indiqué que l'on peut payer par carte mais en réalité il fallait que le gérant soit sur place pour aller emprunter une machine à un ami pour enfin avoir une majorations de 6%...prévoyez du cash.

I upgraded my room to a beautiful room which was very spacious with lots of natural light. Naresh and the staff were very friendly. If I came to Udaipur again I'd happily stay at Soham Haveli.

My original room had no windows so given I was staying 5 nights, I would have struggled had I not upgraded to the better room. Internet, when working was great, occasionally it wasn't working.

l've traveled to different cities in Rajasthan and this was so far the best place to stay. Very clean, great location and decoration. Lovely rooftop with good chai. The (family) stuff is super kind and welcoming, always there to help with everything, paying attention and sharing local tips. A big thank you especially to Naresh and Bharat.
