Hong Hao Hostel and Motorbikes

The showers were not clean, and there was no toalet paper

The room was nice with good shower, desk etc. Good WiFi, nice breakfast (buffet with fried egg, baguette bread, Jam, fruit and fresh cucumber, coffee, tea, cream puffs)

Some staff members seemed a bit confused sometimes leading to misunderstandings. When the tours start or end, the lobby is very full with all the people waiting, so it gets very loud.

The staff were great, very accommodating, helped us plan the Ha Giang loop ( we hired a motorbike from them and did the tour ourselves as we are very experienced riders). The room was very clean and it was great having our own bathroom

The doors to the rooms are made of glass and have no sound proofing, I could hear all the chatter, also as its glass the hallway light shines through so had to sleep with a t shirt over my eyes.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hong Hao. Besides the nice double room we also enjoyed the buffet-Style breakfast which was rich in different options. The staff was helpful and friendly, advising us on the route for our six day trip to the Ban Gioc waterfalls. We did not do a tour but drove on our own. We rented their semi-automatic motorbikes which were in really good condition (180k/ day). They clean and check the bikes after every trip. For an extra fee (100k/day) you get also a full insurance for the bike. In case you want to extend your trip you can simply send them a WhatsApp, and same goes for issues with the bike ( which we did not have).

The staff is extremely helpful and you can easily get in contact with them. The facilities are good and clean. We only stayed for 1 night and it was very convenient.

Breakfast was quite simple but does the job

The beds were large and comfortable and loads of privacy. Perfect place to say before doing the loop!
