The Escape San Juan

We spent New Year’s Eve in the Escape and it was really marvelous! Great staff and friendly owner, amazing view on the sea, could not wish for more…

The location is just perfect, in front of the beach. Staff are all nice and accomodating and so friendly. AC is cold, so comfoetable..

No toiletries were provided.. Suggest to provide newer towela too..

Just a little bit concerned about the Stairs. Slippery when its wet. Overall, the place was excellent during our stay.

What we liked most about The Escape La Union was how accommodating and responsive the staff were. When our original room was affected, they quickly moved us to a bigger one without hassle such a smooth experience. The beachfront view was beautiful and relaxing, especially with the bean bags, table, and chairs outside the rooms where we could just sit back and enjoy the waves. We also appreciated the personal sampayan outside each room, which was super convenient after spending time at the beach. The location was perfect too… close to the center of all the popular food and hangout spots, which made everything accessible. One of the best parts of our stay was the boodle fight dinner. Sobrang sulit, malalakas kami kumain pero di pa rin naubos! On top of that, the WiFi was fast and reliable, which made up for the lack of mobile signal inside the room. The staff were consistently warm, helpful, and easy to approach from check-in to check-out.

What we didn’t like, but completely understood, was the amoy luom or damp smell from the pillows and some parts of the room, most likely a result of typhoon Emong. It wasn’t a major issue, but definitely noticeable. Also, while the room itself was stylish and well-decorated, the CR didn’t match the same level of design. It was clean and functional, just a bit plain in comparison to the rest of the space. Lastly, there was no signal inside the room, but this wasn’t a big deal thanks to the strong WiFi.
