Golden Bell Backpacker Hostel

Exceptional hostel, one of the best ones I've never been. The bank beds were so big that they were almost the size of a double bed. The toilet was extremely clean.

Pretty good location, near the center. The room was fine, unnecessarily big, but clean. Bed mattress was quite hard, but it is up to a preference. The staff was friendly and helpful, only problem was they did not speak English very much, so it was a bit difficult to communicate, but everything went well. We rented motorbikes and no problem. They arranged the bus to our next destination.

Great location, in a side street in Ninh Binh, with lots of good food options around. Host was very friendly and booked us a bus with a transfer to Ha Long. Value for money is incredible though.

The room didn't have a window and the walls were paper thin. This seems typical for the properties in Vietnam. Cleanliness can be a little improved. This was not a big issue as we were there for only 1 night.

Close to Hoa Lu Ancient Town and interesting cafes. The main things to do are located in Tam Coc but we rented a motorbike from hostel to drive there. Tam Coc is very touristy so we enjoyed the hostel streets that felt more authentic (the food stalls were cheap and used by locals) Kettle in room was nice The family running hotel speak little English but are so sweet and you can use google translate

Very good. Clean. Central location. Train, bus station and shops walking distance. Bicycle to rent.
