Please note that you must be a member of the DJH (Deutsches Jugendherbergswerk) or of HI (Hosteling International). Membership can be completed online or upon arrival. The annual fee is EUR 7 for individuals (up to 26 years) and EUR 27.50 for individuals (from 27 years) or families. From 1 June, new members will receive half-price membership for the current year. International guests without membership are charged a supplement of EUR 3.50 per night. From the age of 27 a supplement of EUR 5.50 per night will be charged.Please inform of your expected arrival time in advance. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details in your confirmation. Guests under the age of 18 can only check in with a parent or official guardian. A deposit may be required at the property.

Die Lage am See ist wunderschön. Nach ewig langer Zeit mal wieder in einer Jugendherberge zu übernachten war ein kleines "Abenteuer". Interessant wie viel sich da getan hat!

Das Frühstück beinhaltete zwar Brötchen, 2 Wurstsorten, eine Käsesorte, Eierspeisen und süße Brotaufstriche sowie frisches Obst, Joghurt und Quark sowie verschiedene Kaffee- und Teesorten. Die Brötchen waren allerdings nicht als solche zu bezeichnen, da sie sowohl so aussahen als wären sie nicht einmal im Ofen gewesen als auch schmeckten, als wären sie aus Pappe. Das war schade, denn Brötchen aufzubacken ist doch sicher auch in einer Jugendherberge möglich. Die Belüftung des Zimmers war nur durch das Kippen eines Fensters möglich und daher nicht ausreichend.

Ich hatte ein Zimmer mit direkter Seesicht. Das war sehr schön Sauber und hell

Das Preis - Leistungs- Verhältnis etwas teuer für Zusatzleitungen.

Alles sehr sauber, Personal freundlich, Lage erstklassig, Frühstück üppig und gesund.

Ein kleiner Wermutstropfen ist die Parksituation. Durch Dauerbeleger. Aber der Markt ist nicht weit weg. Und 5€ für den Tag extrem preisgünstig.

Charming Stay with a Youthful Vibe We’re an older couple and stayed at this youth hostel during our cycling trip in Germany. We weren’t quite sure what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere was lively and friendly – lots of young travelers, but we never felt out of place. Our room was clean, with a comfortable bed and a spotless bathroom. Breakfast was very good. Lot’s of fresh fruit. A big plus for us: our bicycles were kept safe in a locked storage area, giving us peace of mind. The hostel is in a fantastic location on the lake with a beautiful terrace and lake view from the breakfast room. All in all, a great experience – youthful energy with solid comfort. Don’t let the “youth” label deter you!

We had to pay an extra fee because we were older than 27 years.
