"Fantastic hostel in a tranquil spot along a mountain stream."

9.0

Fantastic hostel in a tranquil spot along a mountain stream. Plenty of places to sit outside. Private houses are super nice. The guy who runs the place is extremely friendly and helpful. Good hostel atmosphere at night. Close to the bird reserve.

If you're booking with a foreign credit card, it gets bounced because they don't accept foreign cards. You'll be sent payment links via Razorpay that eventually work, but it wasn't a smooth ride for me. Don't use the booking.com communication app once you've booked, you'll be talking to a bot. They do respond to email and whatsapp rather quickly. It turned out well in the end, but this could go smoother for foreign guests. Just don't let it stop you, it's still highly recommended, and some other places in the surroundings are scams of sorts (fake names, fake reviews). So go for this one.

"Fabulous, affordable, fun"

10.0

Place was excellent, clean and had a vibe, manager was good and most importantly it was affordable. I faced some problems but the manager was very helpful.

There was one misunderstanding about the bed alloted to me but they gave me another bed once I told them the issue.

"Unpleasant."

3.0

Clean room. Good food. Beautiful albeit unpractical location.

Rather unpleasant staff that kept guaranteeing us internet access when we really needed it for an important job interview instead of being honest about the situation. We ended bortowing their hotspit as wifi was out most days, but the stress of constantly having to discuss with them and being lied to was stressful. Also, it's a noisy place, no enforcement of no-alcohol or silent hours rules. The person in the bar was actively rude, ignoring us when we spoke to him and demanding us to have precise amounts for paying, even when they run a big hostel with many payments and we only had access to our ATM 500 notes. Also, the room is very leaky so it is cold at night.
