Baan Mae Somkid Homestay

De familie is echt geweldig! Super lieve en behulpzame mensen. Ze hebben me naar een plek gebracht waar je scooters kon huren, regelden voor ontbijt dingen die ik lekker vond en waren erg geïnteresseerd in mijn plannen. Ook heb ik bij hun mijn was kunnen afgeven, die zij voor een klein bedrag hebben gedaan voor mij. Locatie was overigens top! Vlakbij leuke straatjes met eten en dichtbij een supermarkt.

Er was helaas geen warm water bij de douche.

C’est l’endroit parfait pour le festival de Loy Kratong ou pour visiter le parc historique Sukhotthai. Les hôtes sont très gentils, il y a tous les équipements nécessaires, le petit déjeuner est compris et le fait que ce soit des dortoirs permet de faire des rencontres. Vous pouvez vous rendre au festival avec Grab ou en demandant à l’hôte de commander un tuktuk.

Le lit est un peu dur mais la couette et l’oreiller font qu’on dort très bien !

They even celebrated the grandmother's birthday during my stay and kindly shared a piece of cake with me! I will carry their kindness in my heart. They are a spectacular family who pay attention to every detail. A special mention goes to the delicious breakfast and reliable Wi-Fi – excellent service! While the homestay is not close to the historical park, there are quick and affordable ways to get there. The place itself is clean, cozy, and comfortable. I agree with other reviews that the bed is a bit firm, but overall, I highly recommend this homestay!

The only negative point I could mention is regarding the tuk-tuk driver who works with the family. The homestay informed me that the trip to the historical park would cost 200 baht for me and my bicycle. However, upon arrival, the driver charged me 300 baht. Similarly, for a ride to the bus terminal, the agreed price was 50 baht, but he asked for 60. While I know this is not the family's fault, it was quite uncomfortable. Overall, it’s a fantastic place with warm hospitality. Highly recommended!

The hosts were very nice and caring. They had arranged for a lovely breakfast and also helped with getting transport for travel. Would definitely recommend staying with them.

Absolutely amazing hostel. The family working there are incredible, could not have been more accommodating, booking tuktuks whenever and where ever we wanted to go. I was greeted by the full family, and given a delicious cup of tea and then decorated a krathong that was made by the grandma to take to the ancient city that evening. The sons English is very good and can definitely make life much easier!

Can't complain about anything!
