Location and staff

Even it was an individual room , Wok has dorms and smoking areas .I guess the smokers were smoking near the room where i stayed ( ground floor ) could smell tobacco inside room ,even its closed.

Staff is very friendly, manager is so kind. Deffinetly worth of staying. I will be coming back

My stay at this hostel was disappointing due to several issues. The staff at the reception were extremely rude and unhelpful from the start. While I understand that early check-in is not always possible, the check-in process was unnecessarily complicated. My friend and I arrived at different times, and when my friend checked in at midnight, the staff claimed their computer was down and refused to verify the booking. They insisted on keeping my friend's ID overnight, which made us uncomfortable. When we suggested a reasonable alternative (that they can take a picture of his ID on phone but they refused), they treated it as a confrontation rather than trying to help. Eventually, they even threatened not to give us a room, which was very unsettling. though it got sorted after owner's intervention, the staff should be trained for the bare minimum. I have traveled to more than five countries using the same booking account and have never encountered such a problem before. Normally, hostels are flexible with check-in times and focus on making guests feel welcome, but here it felt like an ego issue for the staff. Additionally, although the hostel rules mention quiet hours from 11pm to 6am, the place turned into a loud party spot on the weekend, with many outsiders present. This made me concerned about safety, especially with my belongings in the room and unfamiliar people around the hostel. It is understandable that eating is not allowed in the room. I know it well. But the staff, during cleaning, took my brownie box without even asking and stored it in the fridge. To be honest, it felt like a college hostel warden’s behaviour. Both the staff and host were super cold, and I genuinely hated living there. Overall, I would not recommend this hostel.
