Ledgowan Bunkhouse

Great option for staying in the area. Shared well-equipped kitchen (fridge/oven/microwave/cutlery/dishes/...), shower room, dining room with a table and TV. Individual rooms with bed/pillow but no bed linen. Warm and comfortable. It is in the grounds of Ledgowan Lodge Hotel, but this is usually closed in the winter months so bring supplies! Surprisingly fast WiFi considering the quite isolated location.

Good value for a solo traveller on a budget. Its basic but had fully equipped kitchen. Has parking.

Everything met my expectations and I was grateful to all the other reports I read. Though no member of staff around I had my name on the door, the heating worked as per the instructions in my room and everything was self evident. Also appreciated the tea/coffee/coffee mate and stack of various condiments and dried food left in cupboard below kitchen sink.

Please put a robust lock on the bathroom. There is a limit to how many Verdi arias I can whistle/hum/sing!!

The location is superb with the food in the Hotel being excellent.

I liked every thing.

Booked to save some money on trip, which it did. Individual room was real selling point.

Noise and crowdedness. Not encouraged to do own catering in communal kitchen. Necessity of purchasing sleeping bag.
