Blue Sardine Hostel

Very clean. Rodrigo is a great host and very helpful. Nice and spacious kitchen and terrace. Quiet area.

The hostel is in the centre but not close to the beach. 30 minutes walking. It wasn't a wardrobe or place to leave your stuff. The room need some furniture to be more comfortable.

Rodrigo and his mother were charming, and very helpful. Rooms and facilities were nicely equipped and decorated. Everything very clean and in good order.

Tip - bring your own towel as none are provided.

This is the second time I've stayed here, and really lived up to expectations. Facilities great and really clean. Rodrigo welcomed me very warmly, and was very polite and helpful. Fantastic location in the town, mini supermarket 2 minutes away, and 10 mins from the train station.

Rodrigo was brilliant and stayed on to check us in when the train was late. Newly refurbished and very clean. Great location.

Rodrigo was a delightful host. Warm, charismatic and accommodating - everything you need when travelling solo. Brand new building was sparkling clean and ultra functional.

Lack of chair or hanging furniture in room

Good atmosphère. The area is pretty calm. We got one of the biggest room for share and it was really comfortable. The share space is great as well.

The AC is not really good so if you go there when is to hot could be a little hard to handle.

Rodrigo was fantastic, very approachable and easy to contact with any questions or recommendations. Comfortable beds and multiple kitchens and outdoor areas to eat, as well as a dining room. Very clean bathrooms, clothes horse to dry your swimsuit after the beach. Would definitely stay again. Close to Portimao centre and plenty of restaurants, 15min walk to bus station

It's still a pretty new hostel so might potentially add a few things in the future eg a toaster for the kitchen and a couch in the common area.
