Lala Hostel

Very good hostel for backpackers in aceh. I’ll repeat if I come again 🙂

Wonderfully clean, quiet and comfortable, in a strategic location near to the grand mosque and tsunami museum. Shoutout to Ilham who took the time to take me to a great local eatery on my first night and then even became my impromptu tour guide the next morning, starting with breakfast at a famous local place. Ilham has so much passion for his business and giving his guests the best time. Grateful that I stayed here!

Nothing to dislike

Location ok. Lots of coffee shops/places to eat near by. Museum and boat wreck 30/40 min walk. Dorms small, but A/C good. Showers good but hot water runs out quickly. Toilet space on the small side. Clean, but no cleaner visible, bins not emptied daily, sinks etc not cleaned. Kitchen / common area small but ok. Good to have water filter dispenser (but put bottle in fridge as warm water only!) staff great, really friendly and helpful. Beds comfy, good number of sockets by bed.

The staff is super helpful, rooms air conditioned, beds are comfortable and they have the luxury of a hot shower. Super nice spot to discover aceh.

Perfect hostel. Comfy beds, super nice staff and everything in walking distance to discover the town.

We stayed in the dorm which is affordable and comfortable. The shower is really nice. Location is good, staff is helpful. Couldn't ask for more from a hostel really! We were pretty much the only ones in the hostel, which could be positive or negative, depending how you look at it haha

Nothing we didn't like

The rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable. There is a little kitchen. The bathroom has got hot water. The owner & employees are really friendly! I’ve been here 2 times already & would stay again when in Banda Aceh.
