Chean-Chean House

Chean-Chean House is a lovely small guest house with only 4 rooms and a large common balcony. My room was directly connected to the balcony, which gave us a dining table outside. The room was tastefully decorated and contained a small fridge as well as a kettle. The bed was very comfortable, the en suite bathroom was quite nice with a nice hot shower. Location was in a quiet residential street opposite a Buddhist Temple. The lady that ran the place was very nice, and quite cheerful.

Overall there is very little to critisize. Car parking was on the street, but there was lots of space. The rooms were up a flight of stairs, which I tend to avoid, but this was a minor inconvenience.

Our host was incredibly welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. Highly recommended!

A great stay at this lovely homestay. A quiet location with 4 rooms but we were the only ones there during our stay. Walking distance to central shopping centre. A short taxi ride away from the Center of Chiang Rai. Had an extremely friendly host and she was always there incase we needed anything, even provided us fruit to eat.

Very friendly and accommodating owner, would visit again.

Like the locality close to theCentral plaza and other great places to eat and visit like the Blue Temple, etc.

It was certainly the best accommodation we've had so far on our long trip through Thailand. The space is comfortable, clean, has everything we need for 3 days. It is well located, the accommodation offers free bicycles, the host is very friendly, always available and does everything to welcome us and make us feel at home! She shared tips on what to do in Chiang Rai! We went on a tour that the accommodation offered us, and it was great, we saw the city's main attractions! We really recommend it!

Wonderful home with beautiful rooms in a quiet neighborhood right next to a pretty temple. The hostess is lovely and really helpful, she advised on the best places to visit and then sorted out a taxi to do a private day trip to the local sights.

Very clean comfortable bed owner very helpful and friendly.She will book trips for you. Provides small kitchen you can use for coffee snacks etc. Free bikes to explore local area.

Unfortunately didn’t sleep well due to outside noise woken at 5am with noise from adjacent temple lots of birds constantly squawking windows single glazed. The balcony is shared with other residents so no privacy. Pool very small and cold. The room is brightly lit from outside spotlights all night so take ear plugs and eye covers.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for 4 nights and if I were to come back to Chiang Rai, I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. The host is outstandingly kind and accommodating. The place is squeaky clean and the bed is comfortable. There is always coffee, tea, and bananas out to take. And there are 2-3 bicycles you can use to ride into town (otherwise it’s a 30 minute walk. We liked being a little further from the downtown though because it was very very quiet at night. Highly recommend!
